Held on Memorial Day to honor members of the Armed forces who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country, Taps Over Bethlehem is a special event in which over 50 trumpeters of all ages from a chain to perform and pass the song along a three - mile route from Nisky Hill Cemetary. The event concludes with all the trumpeters gathering at Memorial Park Cemetary. The event also includes a small parade travel from Liberty High School to Memorial Park Cemetary. The parade includes marching bands of Freedom High School, Northeast Middle School, veteran organizations including the Vietnam Veterans LV chapter 415, Nam Knights Bike Club, the U.S. Marines, the Patriot Guard Flag Line, the Lehigh Valley Corvette Club, and local elected officials of the City Bethlehem and Northampton County.
